Welcome, dear traveller, to my lair!

Many years ago, in the late 2000s, I was but a child with a family desktop running Windows XP and an overactive imagination. Growing up in a lower-middle-class family in rural Louisiana, we were always behind the times when it came to tech. At a time when Facebook and the iPhone were beginning to take hold in the popular conscience, my earliest days on the internet were shaped by exploring scrappy little websites like the one you're reading now: personal sites and blogs, webcomics, indie games, and media files that could all be fed through the straw of dial-up internet. The very first friends I made on the internet, including one who I still talk with today, were in the chatbox of a page just like this one around late 2010.

Since then, my odyssey on the 'net has taken me to bigger platforms. From Youtube to Bluesky, from Teamspeak 3 to Discord, from Reddit to Wordpress, and more, I've left quite the digital footprint, and a lot of searching to do for anyone who'd care to see it all. I've made friends and enemies alike in those years, and shared plenty of information along the way, about both myself and a variety of subjects. One thing, though, has always bugged me about it: I could never decide on one singular outlet for everything I felt like writing on this big, dumb notebook we call the internet. Well, what better way to finally make one than to return to my roots?

Acidic facts

  • My interests in stuff are sort of all over the place. Aviation, history, music, urban exploration, true crime... name a topic, and there's a chance I've found it interesting enough to learn at least a tiny bit about at one point. The power of ADHD for you, probably.
  • I've been a gamer for about as long as I can remember. It's a bit of a running joke that most of the games I play are random stuff no one has heard of, and to some extent, that's true: my taste was shaped by PS2 games that mostly came from the used section at our local Gamestop in the mid-late-2000s, and later, indie games shown off by the likes of my favorite Youtuber, NerdCubed.
  • I've had my hands in a lot of distinct online projects over the years, all in very different communities. Today, I manage SpongeCraft Forge for The Spongebob Community.
  • I stream nothing, and I'm happy. I use my PC to host a Jellyfin server for shows, movies, and music, the latter of which I keep stored in FLAC, Opus, and top-bitrate MP3.
  • My voice vibrates at the exact frequency to cause anyone who hears it to lose an average of 1% of their contact with reality per minute.
  • I'm trans! It took me a long time to accept this fact, but getting into My Little Pony, of all things, played an important part in my journey to get there.
  • I've lived my whole life in the US South, for better or worse. Grew up in Louisiana, moved to Mississippi when I was 13, and came back to Louisiana in late 2025. (Hopefully, I won't be stuck here forever.)
